              (My Family Method)

FREE Leash Training Plus Special Rates for My Dog Walking Clients
I do not subscribe to any of the hundreds of formal dog training systems because every dog is a unique personality. I tailor my training method to suit the individual dog. The first thing I do is get to know the dog, his or her emotional needs and how that dog views the world in which he lives. Make no mistake, every dog has an opinion of the world in which he finds himself. So very often modifying and reshaping this view of the world is an important part of his training.

That is one reason why I particularly enjoy training dogs owned by my dog-walking clients. I have time to really get to know the dog and the training needs of that dog and the methods that will work best for him or her. For that reason, I offer my dog walking clients FREE leashing training plus special rate.

Sad Story of An Untrained Dog
Not long ago I went to walk Millie, a sweet and lovable Golden/Lab mix. Millie was one of my favorites and I was looking forward to spending time with her. The owner met me at the door with tears in her eyes. I would not be walking Millie today, nor ever again. Millie had bolted out the door, would not return when called, and was run over by a car and killed. Yes, I was heart broken, but more than that I was furious with the owner. It was her fault and I had to exercise considerable self-control to avoid expressing my anger and delivering a lecture. If she had seen to it that Millie was properly trained Millie would be alive today. But why add to the owner's pain? It was too late for lectures. Millie was gone.

Unfortunately this happens all the time. Owners of such dogs try to carefully open the door only a couple of inches and block the dog's escape with their legs. But sooner or later--
